At Wilde Elixir, we work exclusively with naturally fallen Palo Santo gathered from the dry forest floors of Northern Peru. This means our suppliers NEVER cut living Palo Santo trees to produce any of our products.

In recent years, the over-harvesting of Palo Santo has skyrocketed, causing concerns for it's ability to regenerate. Due to the demand, trees are cut down prematurely in order to process the wood and get it on the market quickly. This is not only unsustainable for the forests, it actually classifies the palo santo sticks as purposeless, as the rich oils that cause the aroma we love, haven't had time to form.

With this knowledge, it was important for us to align with ethically driven companies that follow strict and mindful harvesting guidelines, supporting the conservation + reforestation of native forestlands
